Weighing a contract offer against waiting

I got a contract offer for 16 months as an office manager and I am unsure whether to accept. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
