Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 7 months and counting

I got a contract offer for 6 months as a logistics coordinator and I am unsure whether to accept. It has been weighing on me all week. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
