I got a contract offer for 10 months as an IT help-desk technician and I am unsure whether to accept. I am in Omaha, in case local advice matters. I have 10 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
