Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 26 weeks in

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. It has been a long 26 weeks. I have 13 months of savings left. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
