Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 23 weeks in

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. Any experience at all would help. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
