Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 2 months and counting

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
