Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 2 months and counting

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. Any experience at all would help. The contract could extend. How did you handle benefits?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
