Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 18 weeks in

I got a contract offer for 12 months as an HR coordinator and I am unsure whether to accept. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The contract could extend.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
