Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 13 weeks in

I got a contract offer for 7 months as a machine operator and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as a machine operator before this. The contract could extend. What would you do?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
