Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 13 months and counting

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I am in Memphis, in case local advice matters. I have 13 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
