Weighing a contract offer against waiting - 11 weeks in

I got a contract offer for 11 months as a software tester and I am unsure whether to accept. I am in Dallas, in case local advice matters. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
