Weighing a contract offer against waiting

I got a contract offer for 12 months as a project coordinator and I am unsure whether to accept. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
