They asked my salary range, what should I say? (Milwaukee)

I have been out of work for 15 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I also do not want to sell myself short. Does giving a range hurt?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
