They asked my salary range, what should I say? - first time posting

I have been out of work for 26 weeks and feel pressure to accept less. It has been a long 26 weeks. I also do not want to sell myself short. Does giving a range hurt?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I gave a range based on local postings and said I was flexible depending on the whole package. They did not push back.
