They asked my salary range, what should I say? - first time posting

I do not know whether to give a range or ask for theirs. I am in Detroit, in case local advice matters. I do not want to price myself out. What did you say?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
