They asked my salary range, what should I say? - 3 months and counting

A recruiter asked for my salary expectations on a first call as I look for work as a forklift operator. Any experience at all would help. I looked up ranges in Portland and they vary a lot. Does giving a range hurt?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
