Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 17 months as a graphic designer and I am unsure whether to accept. It has been a long 16 weeks. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
