Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. There are 3 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have 8 months of savings left.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
