Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 15 months as a production planner and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
