Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
