Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 8 months as a marketing coordinator and I am unsure whether to accept. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have 6 months of savings left. What would you do?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
