Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. There are 3 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
