Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a recruiter and I am unsure whether to accept. Any experience at all would help. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
