Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 18 months as an accounts payable clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have 4 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
