Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? (update)

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I worked as an accountant before this. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
