Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? (update)

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I am in Austin, in case local advice matters. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
