Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? (update)

I got a contract offer for 16 months as a data-entry clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have 4 months of savings left. How did you handle benefits?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
