Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? (Toledo)

I got a contract offer for 6 months as a bookkeeper and I am unsure whether to accept. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
