Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? (San Diego)

I got a contract offer for 16 months as a machine operator and I am unsure whether to accept. I have 12 months of savings left.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
