Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?, payroll clerk here

I got a contract offer for 6 months as a payroll clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. Any experience at all would help. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
