Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? (Oklahoma City)

I got a contract offer for 7 months as an insurance claims processor and I am unsure whether to accept. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have 3 months of savings left. What would you do?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
