Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?, home health aide here

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. Any experience at all would help. I have 8 months of savings left. What would you do?

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
