Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?

I got a contract offer for 10 months as a mechanic and I am unsure whether to accept. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
