Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?

I got a contract offer for 16 months as a software tester and I am unsure whether to accept. Any experience at all would help. I have 14 months of savings left.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
