Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?

I got a contract offer for 17 months as a data-entry clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. I am in Memphis, in case local advice matters. I would gain recent experience.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
