Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?

I got a contract offer for 8 months as a barista and I am unsure whether to accept. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have 10 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
