Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 9 years as a call-centre agent

I got a contract offer for 9 months as a call-centre agent and I am unsure whether to accept. I am in Salt Lake City, in case local advice matters. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
