Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 6 years as an event coordinator

I got a contract offer for 6 months as an event coordinator and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as an event coordinator before this. I have 11 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
