Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 6 years as a production planner

I got a contract offer for 6 months as a production planner and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
