Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 6 years as a data-entry clerk

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
