Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 5 years as a store manager

I got a contract offer for 5 months as a store manager and I am unsure whether to accept. I am in Birmingham, in case local advice matters. I have 3 months of savings left. What would you do?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
