Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 4 years as a mechanic

I got a contract offer for 4 months as a mechanic and I am unsure whether to accept. I have 10 months of savings left. How did you handle benefits?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
