Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 3 years as a pharmacy technician

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. I worked as a pharmacy technician before this. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
