Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 14 years as a data-entry clerk

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a data-entry clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
