Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? after 10 years as an insurance claims processor

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
