Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - 7 weeks in

I got a contract offer for 9 months as a line cook and I am unsure whether to accept. It has been a long 7 weeks. I have 13 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
