Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?

I got a contract offer for 16 months as an accounts payable clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have 13 months of savings left. What would you do?

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
