Temp-to-hire offer, worth it?

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a janitorial supervisor and I am unsure whether to accept. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
