Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - 5 months and counting

I got a contract offer for 14 months as an accountant and I am unsure whether to accept. Any experience at all would help. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
