Temp-to-hire offer, worth it? - 4 months and counting

I got a contract offer for 7 months as an electrician's helper and I am unsure whether to accept. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have 4 months of savings left. Did a contract become permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
